Wayne and Elias (WE) started WE Certified Real Estate Services after seeing a need for more accurate and timely real estate accounting. Through our relationships from coast to coast, we determined that many property management companies and owners could not keep up with the pace and accuracy of real estate transactions. Most of the time, we saw financial packages that were late to owners, lenders, and investors. Those that were on time, usually were full of errors and not detailed enough. Our solution? Create solid accounting and review processes that give all clients REIT level GAAP financial statements.

Wayne Parnell, CPA

Prior to forming WE Certified Real Estate Services, Wayne was the COO of Lincoln Harris CSG’s Healthcare Group. He was responsible for managing the operational processes of the various disciplines within the Healthcare Group including Property and Facility Management, Leasing, Construction Management, Valuations, Finance & Accounting, and Human Resources. Before becoming the COO, Wayne served as the company’s Controller where he focused on lowering property operating costs and increasing property NOI through process improvement and cost savings.

After graduating from Louisiana Tech University with a BS in Accounting, Wayne received his Masters in Professional Accounting at the University of Texas in Austin. He began his career with KPMG in their Audit and Advisory Services Group. He has also held the positions of CFO and Controller with the national law firm, Jenkens & Gilchrist.

Wayne resides in Frisco, TX with his wife and two children.

Elias Zewdu, CPA

Prior to forming WE Certified Real Estate Services, Elias was the Sr. Vice-President/Controller of Lincoln Harris CSG’s Healthcare Group.  He was responsible for overseeing a group of 45 accountants with production of over 400 monthly financial packages, lease administration of over 6,000 tenants, and 80,000+ payables annually.  He was also a key partner with clients on external audits and multiple accounting system conversions.

Elias was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and graduated from Addis Ababa Commercial College with his Accounting Diploma. 20 years ago, Elias immigrated to the United States (and the great state of Texas). He received his Accounting Information Systems degree from DeVry University and later graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with his Masters in Accounting Information Management. Elias is also a licensed Real Estate Agent. Elias began his career in the corporate office of 7-Eleven as a Master Operational Data Analyst.

Elias resides in Dallas, TX with his wife and three children.
